Two more dead bodies were found in different locations in Iloilo province morning of Nov. 13.
The first victim, 38-year-old Jose Dalanon, was found with a hack injury on his head at around 7 a.m. at his home in Barangay Guinbunyogan, Calinog.
Captain Myles Dieron, Calinog police chief, said they’re still investigating who intruded on the victim’s house and attacked him.
Meanwhile, the second body was discovered around 8:10 a.m. at Barangay Cabugao, New Lucena.
Eduardo Seron, a resident of Barangay Guinobatan. New Lucena, bore an injury on his head.
Captain Rogie Panela, New Lucena police chief, said a branch of a tree could have been used to strike the victim’s head.
Investigators found a blood stain near his body.
CCTV footage showed that Seron, a tricycle driver, ferried a passenger around 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Behind them was a man riding on a motorcycle.
“We’re looking at at least two persons of interest,” Panela said.
He added that they already have a possible motive but declined to elaborate.
It can be noted that it wasn’t the first time that dead bodies were found in Iloilo in the past week.
On Nov. 9, the body of an elderly cockfight enthusiast was found at a ravenous portion of Barangay Tranghawan, Lambunao.
The 74-year-old Antonio Artiaga, a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Aplaya, Digos City, Davao del Sur, bore multiple gunshot injuries.
Three days later, a 30-year-old man was also found dead in Banate, Iloilo.
Mark Edillon’s body was found around 5:55 a.m. on Sunday near the drainage canal at Sitio Sool, Barangay Talokgangan.
Edillon sustained a stab injury on his abdomen.
