ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons wanted for illegal drug pushing were arrested in separate operations Wednesday afternoon at Barangays Cagay and Barra here.
The police first arrested Peter Vergil of Brgy. Barra based on a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Faustino Valenzuela Roxas Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 18 in Roxas City on April 11, 2023.
A P200,000 bail was for his temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, another warrant of arrest was served to the No. 2 most wanted person in barangay Cagay, Roxas City.
Ace Azarce, 37, of Sitio Bliss, Barangay Cagay here did not resist when the Roxas City police apprehended him.
Azarce is facing a case for violation of RA 9165.
A P200,000 bail was also recommended for his temporary liberty.
Police said Azarce is the No. 2 most wanted person in Roxas City for alleged illegal drug peddling and he is considered a high-value target by the police.
