BACOLOD CITY – Three individuals, including two siblings, were arrested in separate buy-bust operations that yielded PHP 142,800 worth of suspected shabu in Silay City, Negros Occidental, over the weekend.
On Nov. 16, police apprehended a 41-year-old suspect, identified only as “Padoy,” in Barangay E. Lopez. Authorities seized eight grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 54,400, along with a .22 caliber pistol.
The suspect, classified as a street-level individual, was also found in possession of two improvised tooters, PHP 2,500 in marked money, a magazine, and 10 rounds of live ammunition.
On Nov. 17, two siblings, aged 45 and 57, were arrested in Barangay Rizal. The operation resulted in the confiscation of 13 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 88,400.
Police also recovered PHP 2,800 in marked money from the siblings. The older sibling was likewise tagged as a street-level individual by authorities.
