BACOLOD City – Two teenagers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations that allegedly yielded a total of P39,300 worth of suspected shabu in Negros Occidental last week.

On January 10, an 18-year-old boy was arrested in Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, for the confiscation of one gram of suspected shabu worth P6,800, and the P500 marked money.

Four days later, a 17-year-old girl was also apprehended in Barangay Zone 6, Talisay City for the seizure of five grams of suspected shabu worth P32,500 last Sunday.

Police also recovered from her the P500 marked money and P250

Captain Abegael Donasco, deputy chief of Talisay City Police Station, said they have monitored the minor for months now, following revelations from previously arrested drug suspects and information from the community.

Donasco said that according to the minor, she was influenced by peers and reportedly started engaging in the illegal drug trade last year.
