BACOLOD City – Nine persons, including two top drug personalities were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental in the past three days, with the seizure of P243,493 worth of suspected shabu.
Seven were apprehended in the province that led to the seizure of P114,493 worth of suspected shabu.
In La Carlota City, Mark Henry Escaner, 31, of Barangay II, was arrested on Tuesday in Barangay Batuan, after he allegedly yielded 10 grams of suspected shabu worth P60,800.
Lieutenant Colonel Lowell Garinganao, city police chief, said that Escaner is listed as a high value individual, and was tagged as the top 1 targeted drug personality in the city.
Garinganao said Escaner was previously arrested but was released through plea bargaining.
In Talisay City, Dairyl Akol, 33, of Barangay Matab-ang was arrested that day in Barangay Zone 12-A, after police recovered from him P13,600 worth of suspected shabu.
Akol is listed as an alleged street level individual and tagged as the No. 4 drug personality of Talisay City Police Station, according to the police.
Five others were also arrested in the towns of Hinigaran, Isabela, and Pontevedra, and the cities of Kabankalan and Bago.
In Bacolod, Dennis Cajuyong, 45, of Barangay Mansilingan here, was collared at the said village last Tuesday, after police seized from him 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000.
According to the police, Cajuyong is listed as a street level individual. He is detained at Police Station 7.
Another person was arrested in Barangay Bata here last Monday, with the seizure of P27,000 worth of illegal drugs.
