BACOLOD City – Personnel of Bago City Police Station in Negros Occidental is investigating the murder of two unidentified men who were hogtied and found by the roadside of Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay Atipuluan Thursday night.
Police Major John Joel Batusbatusan, city police chief, said a man, who was riding a motorcycle on his way home saw the victims’ bodies around 11 pm.
Batusbatusan said the hands and legs of the victims were tied with rope and adhesive tape.
Two pieces of carton were also found at the scene. Written on one piece were “Gutom na mga pusher, sige pa sila duso, tama na (Pushers are hungry, they continue to push, enough),” while the other was “Di pagparisi, drug pusher ko ya (Don’t follow, I’m a pusher).”
Batusbatusan said the victims suffered injuries on their heads and chest, but they cannot yet tell what caused the wounds.
He said they are waiting for the autopsy results to determine the injuries of the victims.
The area was about 300 meters away from the houses and it was not too dark, he added.
He said they cannot yet tell if the victims were killed in the area where they were found or somewhere else due to lack of other significant recoveries.
He also refused to confirm if the victims were “salvaged”, a pejorative for summary killing.
“Indi ta pa mahambal kung ano gid natabo kag kung ano motibo. Ongoing pa ang investigation sa kaso,” Batusbatusan said.
