There’s no stopping EJ Obiena right now.

The Tokyo Olympics-bound pole vaulter just topped another international tournament and won the gold medal in the PSD Bank Indoor Meeting pole vault event held in Dortmund, Germany.

After breaking his own PH record in his last international tourney stint, Obiena did not stop there and is planning to end his training camp in style with the Olympics nearing.

Obiena scored an impressive 5.68 meters and shut down big names in the sport such as Oleg Zernikel and Torben Blech in the championship round.

Both Germans tallied 5.65 meters that weren’t enough to overtake the hot-streak by the surging Filipino.

Obiena also displayed a convincing show during the preliminary rounds and was consistent throughout the series especially in the final round against the home bets.

The 25-year-old Filipino will try to seek more gold medals and shared that he will join other international competitions as part of their closing circuit program in his training camp.
