The event, held at the Graduate and Continuing Education Building, aimed to equip participants with skills to help them succeed in education and employment.

Eighty-one participants from the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) – Iloilo City, Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners, and Opportunity 2.0 enrollees attended the half-day session.

The training, part of the Opportunity 2.0: Second Chance Opportunities for Out-of-School Youth initiative by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), addressed the educational and livelihood needs of out-of-school youth in Iloilo City.

Sessions on the Responsible Use of Social Media and Personal Marketing were facilitated by Assistant Professors John Lorenz R. Belanio and Ysabella P. Cainglet from UPV’s College of Management.

The program aimed to provide essential knowledge and skills necessary for participants to navigate the modern job market and build personal brands.

Asst. Prof. Frediezel G. De Leon, acting director of OCEP, warmly welcomed attendees. Other key representatives included Jireh Alivio, Youth Development Officer at USAID’s Education Development Center (EDC); Angel L. De Leon, Jr., president of TSKI Institute; Iris F.
