The UP Visayas Museum of Art and Cultural Heritage (UPV MACH) has now a small museum souvenir shop called Aparador. This is following the donation of a curio cabinet to the museum by the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation, Inc. (IDFI).
The donation was formalized through the signing of the Deed of Donation on 14 April 2023 at the UPV MACH Conference room.
IDFI President Mr. Ramon Cua-Locsin and UPV Chancellor Clement C. Camposano signed the donation papers with IDFI Treasurer Ma. Luisa Segovia and UPV Office of Initiative in Culture and the Arts (OICA) Director Martin Genodepa serving as witnesses.
The IDFI is a private organization that is committed to promoting Ilonggo culture and heritage. It has been involved in initiatives like dance workshops, production, and screening of films made by local filmmakers among others.
The curio cabinet was made by Ilonggo award-winning artist Jeanroll Ejar.
Handmade and embroidered local textiles, local handicrafts, and products of the IP communities of Western Visayas are available in UPV MACH’s Aparador supplied by IDFI. (OICA)
