The highlight game of the UNIGAMES women’s volleyball during the morning schedule was indeed between the Lyceum of the Philippines University and the hosts, University of San Agustin.

Facing a tough NCAA squad, the USA team managed to win a set and made it hard for the visiting team to get the victory, 25-23, 24-26, 25-19, 25-14.

The energized USA team caught the LPU squad off guard with their unorthodox ball decisions, sending drops and back spikes in unusual moments that kept LPU on their heels.

LPU managed to take the first set by a squeaker but still worked hard to notch and draw first blood.

In the second set, the USA gym went roaring and wild as their team began to hit consecutive spikes and delivered tremendous serves that put them ahead.

Hitting the ball consistently, the USA squad leveled the match with 1 set apiece with momentum on their side.

The third set started unfavorably for USA, as LPU began to dig in to their roster and sent in a towering front-line that made it difficult for USA to execute their set plays.

LPU got the next two sets and will look forward to their next challenge.
