The University of St. La Salle received six awards at the 2nd Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Quality Awards held on May 19 in Iloilo City.
The ceremony, held at the West Visayas State University Cultural Center, recognized the outstanding efforts and initiatives of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in various categories such as instruction, research, and community extension, among many others.
USLS excelled in various areas, earning recognition across multiple categories.
The awards received by USLS include a distinction of being an Autonomous HEI in Regions VI, a testament to the institution’s unwavering commitment to providing quality Christian Lasallian education.
Furthermore, USLS was recognized as one of the Top 5 Performing Schools in the November 2022 Nursing Licensure Examination, showcasing the University’s dedication to producing highly competent and skilled nursing professionals.
The University’s contributions to the field of research were also acknowledged, as USLS received the Best in Research Award.
USLS’s commitment to internationalization initiatives was also highlighted, with USLS receiving the Best in Internationalization Initiatives award. This distinction highlights USLS efforts to foster global connections and provide students with enriching international experiences.
In addition, USLS also received the Best in Student Affairs and Services Implementation award and Best Implementer of CHED Memorandum Order No. 6 Series of 2022: “Sustaining Flexible Learning in Higher Education.”
The USLS delegation, led by Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Annabelle Balor, expressed gratitude and pride in receiving these prestigious recognitions.
