Uswag Ilonggo Leads DOLE-TUPAD Payout For 6,678 Ilonggos

Uswag Ilonggo Partylist, led by Cong. James “Jojo” Ang Jr., distributed wages under the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program to 6,678 Iloilo City residents on Oct. 4 at the Iloilo Sports Complex in La Paz, Iloilo City.

Each beneficiary received PHP 4,800 for 10 days of work, working four hours per day. Instead of cash, beneficiaries were given a reference code to claim their payout at any Palawan Pawnshop branch.

Cong. Ang emphasized Uswag Ilonggo’s commitment to supporting Ilonggos in need and giving back to the communities they serve.

“This is the people’s money, and we are just returning it to Ilonggos through projects that can benefit Iloilo City and the entire province of Iloilo. We will provide the best and sincerest service to all Ilonggos,” Ang said.

“Let us all love one another for the progress of the city and the province,” he added.
