Seven personnel of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 in Western Visayas hurdled the 2020-2021 bar examinations.
The new police-lawyers were formally recognized during the flag raising ceremony on April 18, 2022 at the PRO-6 Grandstand in Camp Martin Delgado, Iloilo City.
Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, Western Visayas police director, led the ceremony.
The new cop-lawyers are Major Danny Lamera and Master Sergeant Jhon Edmar Espinosa of the Regional Personal and Records Management Division (RPRMD); Major Garry Nee Tungala of the Iloilo City Explosives and Ordinance Division (EOD)-K9 Unit; Lieutenant Colonel Jerick Filosofo of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group; Staff Sergeant Warren Calzado of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office; Staff Sergeant Dennis Jabagat of Capiz Police Provincial Office (PPO): and Corporal John Michael Recto of Aklan PPO.
They received the PNP Efficiency Medal (Medalya ng Kasanayan).
Meanwhile, the same medal was given to Major Elma Posadas, Staff Sergeant Gerlie Babao and Staff Sergeant Sherly Villeza of the RPMRD for obtaining the highest percentage of compliance in the updating of Certificate of Declared Legal Beneficiary of its personnel nationwide.
On the other hand, the PNP Medal of Merit (Medalya ng Kagalingan) was awarded to Lieutenant Colonel John Mocyat Jr., Lieutenant Darryl Kuhutan and Patrolman Rodolfo Balbeso Jr. of the 2nd Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company for the successful Anti-Insurgency Operation which resulted in the arrest of a wanted rebel at Barangay Camang-camang, Isabela, Negros Occidental on February 19, 2022.
Dongbo also pinned the PNP Commendation Medal (Medalya ng Papuri) to Lieutenant Colonel Aron Palomo and Master Sergeant Flores Segundo John Onio of the Roxas City Police Station for the arrest of Rodulfo Calanugan who was accused of murder.
The same medal was also given to Captain Anton Von Winklee Lamson and Chief Master Sergeant Renato Soberano of Guimaras Police Provincial Office for the arrest of murder suspect Alex Nonescan.
Dongbo told the awardees that the PNP organization is proud of their recent achievements.
“These bring honor to your family and to the PNP organization. Continue your pursuit for excellence, improvement and exemplary performance. These are the true essence of our service to the people and country,” he said.
