BACOLOD City – Nineteen persons were arrested while P233,444 worth of suspected shabu was seized in police operations against illegal drugs here and in Negros Occidental from July 9 to 11, 2021.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized a total of P136,000 worth of suspected shabu, while P97,444 worth of the same contraband was confiscated in the province.
Of the 13 individuals arrested here, nine were busted by the Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) in an alleged drug den at Barangay 3 last Friday.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of P54,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Other buy-bust operations here were conducted by Police Stations 5 and 9 in Barangays Sum-ag, Vista Alegre, and Mansilingan on July 10 and 11.
For the province, drug bust operations were conducted in the cities of Silay and Victorias, and the towns of Ilog, Calatrava, Hinigaran, and Valladolid, that resulted in the apprehension of six persons.
