Weekend fire razes five houses

BACOLOD City – Four houses were destroyed while another was damaged in a fire that broke out in two villages here last Saturday.

The first incident was reported at Zone Dalia, Villa Villeta, Barangay Estefania, destroying the house of Lorena Calip.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bacolod, the fire broke out around 4:32 p.m. and left an estimated P1,050,000 worth of damage. Fire out was declared after 21 minutes.

Later that night, another blaze occurred, this time at Zone 12, Barangay Handumanan affecting four houses.

The BFP reported that the fire began around 11:06 p.m., destroying the houses of Barbie May Belaño, Beverly Belaño, and Jose Donald Allaga.

It also damaged the house of Berserey Belaño. Fire out was declared around 11:39 p.m.

The fire left an estimated P2.4 million worth of damage.

Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the two fire incidents.
