Wesley So is once again king of chess after dominating in the recently concluded 2021 Paris Rapid & Blitz Grand Chess Tour.

The former PH representative caught fire and ruled in the last five rounds of the tournament to outlast his fellow super Grandmasters.

So’s insane five-match span tallied him 12 points in the Rapid category and 12.5 points in the blitz event.

His recent achievement in the sport helped him take home an insane $37,500- (P1.88 million) winner take all prize.

In his five rounds of genius, So won four and managed to land a tie once and racked 24.5 points on his way to a dominant tournament finish.

It was not an easy task for So after facing top super GM’s such as former world champion Vladimir Kramnik and teen wonder Alireza Firouzja.

So finished the Paris Grand Chess Tour with an impressive overall record of nine wins, 17 draws, and just one loss.
