A 26-year-old woman was put behind bars anew after she was caught shoplifting at a grocery store in Leganes, Iloilo.
This time around, Dolly Grace Bale, 26, a resident of Barangay Tularucan, Janiuay, Iloilo took fancy of 15 packs of Nescafé coffee valued at PHP98 each.
Gerlie Opelario, 26, salesclerk of Stephanie Store located at Barangay Poblacion, Leganes, caught the suspect placing the coffee packs inside her black bag.
Major Roy Tayona, Leganes police chief, said the suspect already went beyond the cashier’s booth when she was arrested.
Tayona said they immediately checked her records at other police stations in the province.
“She had been arrested several times already,” he said.
In fact, she was out on bail for another case in San Enrique town.
She was also arrested in the towns of Calinog, Cabatuan, and Zarraga among others, but she had settled the complaints.
For now, Bale is detained at Leganes Police Station for proper disposition of her case.
