A woman who was accused of murder was arrested early morning of July 20, 2020 in San Rafael, Iloilo.
Erna Felomino was nabbed while on board a motorcycle along Sitio Cagcag, Brgy. San Andres around 2:35 a.m. Friday.
The suspect is one of the top 5 most wanted persons in Tapaz, Capiz.
She is facing a murder charge in Criminal Case No. C-19-2028-09. She was not allowed to post bail for her temporary liberty.
Police Executive Master Sergeant Dionesio Fernandez of San Dionisio PNP said the suspect had been in hiding after she and her common-law husband were accused of murder last year.
Police investigators later learned that Filomeno had been seeking refuge with her relatives in Barangay Gemumua-Agahon, Passi City, Iloilo.
“The area where she was arrested is a shortcut route going to Gemumua-Agahon. That’s where we assumed she would pass by,” Fernandez said.
The suspect was immediately arrested and was already turned over to Tapaz Police Station for proper disposition of her case. (With a report from Felipe V. Celino)
