Woman, pal nabbed with P374,000 worth of ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – Police arrested a woman and her companion in a buy-bust operation who yielded 55 grams of suspected shabu worth P374,000 at Henrietta Village, Barangay Singcang-Airport here last Monday.

Police Captain Melvin Mercado, head of Police Station 8, identified the subject as Je An Treyes, 40, of Barangay Taculing here, and her companion Christian Ison, 43, of Barangay Sum-ag here.

Also confiscated from them were the P500 marked money, and the P5,000 boodle or fake money used in the operation.

Mercado said they are checking the background of the suspects to determine if they have previous cases.

Both suspects are facing drug charges and are detained at Police Station 8.

In a statement, Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, lauded the operating troops for nailing another accomplishment.

“The positive result of the operation strengthens our stand on the war on drugs,” he said.
