Worldbex Services International (WSI) is set to host its second regional exposition in Iloilo City, highlighting the ongoing construction boom in Western Visayas.
The event, running from July 11 to 14, 2024, at the ICON Iloilo Convention Center, aims to expand the renowned building and construction trade show beyond Metro Manila, bringing new opportunities and innovations to local industries.
The exposition will feature over 1,000 exhibitors, showcasing the latest technologies and innovations in construction, food, and hospitality sectors. It is expected to draw 15,000 visitors, a significant increase from last year’s 10,000 attendees.
The event includes three main sectors: PHILBEX (Philippine Building and Construction Exposition), IFBEX (Iloilo Food and Beverages Exposition), and TLEX (Travel and Leisure Exposition), with each hosting between 150 and 250 participants.
WSI Marketing Communications Manager Leo Salonga emphasized the strong support from private industries, sectors, and partners such as the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) and the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID), which encouraged the return to Iloilo.
“Grabe po yung welcoming spirit of the Ilonggos. Lahat po na mga exhibitors namin talaga naman pong natuwa. And na-book sila agad for this year. So walang po kami reason to not come back,” Salonga said.
Salonga also highlighted the potential of the Worldbex exposition to open more opportunities for local companies. For businesses unable to venture out, the expo serves as an educational platform, helping them benchmark against market standards and inspiring innovation.
PHILBEX, TLEX, and IFBEX aim to provide a comprehensive experience for attendees, featuring cutting-edge technologies and designs that reflect the dynamic growth of the region.
