BACOLOD City – The Office of the City Prosecutor of Dumaguete City dismissed the trespassing complaint filed by Olivia Yanson against her three children, Roy Yanson, Celina Yanson, and Ricardo V. Yanson Jr.

Based on a copy of the resolution dated Nov 29, 2019 and sent out to journalists on Sunday, the 3-person prosecution panel composed of Assistant City Prosecutors Andre Stephen G. Jacobo, Manolito T. Tiuseco, and Milmon Bryce C. Tenorio, found no probable cause to indict the three Yanson children for trespassing.

The prosecution panel ruled that “after careful evaluation of the evidence on record, the investigating panel is of the candid opinion that the instant complaint failed to establish probable cause against the respondents.”

The investigating prosecutors also found that Roy, Celina, and Ricardo Jr. are co-owners of the estate that is subject of the complaint as they are children of the complainant and the late Ricardo Yanson Sr. who is the registered property owner.

According to the investigating panel, “the existence of criminal intent, a crucial and very basic element of any felony, has been rendered unlikely by this ostensible right of the Respondents to enter the property”.

The case is an offshoot to the long running feud in the Yanson family owner of the Vallacar Transit Inc. operator of more than 7,000 buses all over the country.
