Young Woman Electrocuted in Himamaylan City

BACOLOD CITY – A 26-year-old woman died after being electrocuted inside her home in Barangay San Antonio, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental, on Saturday.

Police identified the victim as Jeniva.

She was found unconscious on the floor by a neighbor, who rushed to check after hearing the victim’s two-year-old child calling for help.

The neighbor immediately switched off the main power supply and removed the electrical wire from the victim’s hand.

According to police investigations, Jeniva picked up an extension wire but accidentally touched an exposed portion, leading to fatal electrocution.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
