ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 35-year-old man wanted for murder has joined his father and brother in jail following his arrest on Sunday morning, August 4, in Brgy. Agtangway, Dao, Capiz.
Ruben Cagua, a top 5 most wanted person in Dao town, did not resist when the police served the warrant of arrest at his relative’s house. The warrant was issued by Judge Kristine B. Tiangco-Vinculado of Regional Trial Court Branch 16, Roxas City, on July 30, 2024.
Earlier, his father and brother, both also wanted for murder, were arrested on Wednesday afternoon, July 31, at Sitio Ilawod, Barangay Daplas, Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the suspects as Benjamin Cagua, 67, the Top 3 most wanted, and his son Benjur Cagua, 33, the Top 4 most wanted, both in Dao town.
The two, along with Ruben Cagua, 35, all of Barangay Daplas, were charged with stabbing and hitting their neighbor Renaldo with a hard object on the evening of March 1, 2024, in the rice fields of Barangay Daplas.
The court recommended no bail for their temporary liberty. The three are in the custody of the Dao PNP station.
