One hundred uniformed personnel of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) were subjected to another round of random drug testing.
Most of those who underwent the test are from the IPPO headquarters while others came from the different police stations.
Personnel from the PNP Regional Crime Laboratory Office 6 (RCLO-6) was done late morning of Monday, March 2.
Police Colonel Paul Kenneth Lucas, Iloilo police chief, said the move is part of the PNP’s continuing effort in the implementation of the Enhanced Revitalized PNP Internal Cleansing Program.
On February, 231 personnel also participated in the drug test.
Lucas said they’re just waiting for the results of the test done.
On January, 185 IPPO personnel also undertook the test.
All tested negative.
But aside from the regular random drug test, other efforts are also done to counter cops involved in misdemeanor.
Lucas said there’s the presence of the PNP Regional Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) to do counter-intelligence against policemen involved in illegal activities.
“And if any of our personnel are linked to illegal acts, I want them arrested and booted out from the service,” he warned.
