ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Twelve members of the Roxas City Police Station were infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Police Lt. Col. Aron Palomo, Roxas City PNP chief, confirmed the information Thursday morning.
Palomo said the infected personnel are asymptomatic and in isolation.
While the police station remains open, Palomo said he might impose a lockdown if more officers are infected.
Palomo appealed to Roxas City Mayor Ronnie Dadivas to prioritize the police in the vaccination program because they are also considered frontliners.
