BACOLOD City – A total of 14 commissioned police officers here and in Negros Occidental were promoted to higher ranks.
In Bacolod, Police Majors Joeffer Cabural, Charles Gever, and Jovil Sedel were promoted to Police Lieutenant Colonels in permanent status effective April 4, 2021.
Cabural is the head of the City Intelligence Unit, while Sedel is the head of the City Investigation and Detection Management Unit, and Gever is the chief of the City Plans and Programs Unit at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) headquarters.
For Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), promoted to the next ranks were Police Majors Edison Garcia, Jesus Mesahon, Reynante Jomocan, Rollie Pondevilla, Ruben Pajarito, Rocky Desear, Lowell Garinganao, John Joel Batusbatusan, Gil John Despi, Romeo Vargas, and Albert Sy.
Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, Nocppo’s deputy information officer, said the order was received on April 7 from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters through Police Regional Office (PRO)-6.
Donasco said that Desear, Garinganao, Batusbatusan, Despi, Vargas, and Sy, are now full-pledged police chiefs of police stations in Cadiz City, Cauayan, Bago City, Escalante City, Himamaylan City, and Sagay City, respectively, while the five other commissioned police officers are assigned at various offices in Nocppo headquarters here.
