ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Three members of the Roxas City Police Station tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Police Lieutenant Colonel Aron Palomo, Roxas police chief, confirmed that the three police officers were assigned to the administration, operations, and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) sections of the police station.
The three are under quarantine.
Palomo asked persons who had close contact with the three police officers to undergo home quarantine and testing.
The police station was immediately disinfected.
On the other hand, the province of Capiz has recorded 215 COVID-19 deaths after logging three more fatalities.
At present, Capiz has 4,167 total cases.
Meanwhile, 35,675 Capicenos were already inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines.
Based on the data released by the Provincial Health Office (PHO), 7% of the 545,494 target eligible population got the jabs.
Of the 35,675 persons vaccinated, 13,033 have received the second dose.
8,635 were healthcare workers (A1), 2,427 senior citizens (A2) and 1,971 with comorbidities (A3).
