303rd Brigade has new chief

Brig. Gen. Benedict Arevalo, commander of the Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade

BACOLOD City – Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte will replace Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo as commander of the Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde) in Negros Island effective Dec 12, 2019.

Pasaporte, the deputy brigade commander, will officially assume Arevalo’s post on Thursday in a ceremony to be led by Brigadier General Eric Vinoya, commander of the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division (ID), at the 303rd IBde headquarters in Camp Major Nelson L. Gerona, Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental.

Arevalo said he will be transferred to the national headquarters in Manila as assistant deputy chief for training. He served Negros and Panay islands for almost one year and a half.

He was first assigned in Panay island from June 29 to October 28, 2018 and was moved to Negros Occidental, where he served from October 28, 2018 to December 12, 2019.
