The 680-room Hotel101-Madrid marked a major construction milestone on April 11 with a topping-off ceremony led by Mang Inasal founder Injap Sia and Jollibee founder Tony Tan Caktiong, completing the structural phase just 11 months after breaking ground.
Set for full completion by December 2025, the project is timed to open ahead of the highly anticipated Formula 1 Grand Prix in Madrid.
Once completed, Hotel101-Madrid will rank among the five largest hotels in the Spanish capital, showcasing Filipino ingenuity on a global stage.
The hotel is located on a 6,593-square-meter prime commercial property along Avenida Fuerzas Armadas in Valdebebas, a fast-growing urban development zone.
Its strategic location places it within walking distance of major landmarks, including a three-minute walk to the Valdebebas train station, four minutes to the IFEMA convention complex, five minutes to the Real Madrid Sports Complex, and about seven minutes to the new Madrid-Barajas International Airport.
Hotel101-Madrid is the first European venture of DoubleDragon Corporation’s Hotel101 brand, which aims to bring its standardized, tech-enabled hospitality concept to international markets.
Hotel101’s long-term vision is to operate one million rooms across more than 100 countries worldwide.
As a first step, the company has identified 25 priority countries for expansion: the Philippines, Japan, Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, India, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Mexico, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Turkey, Italy, Germany, France, and Saudi Arabia.
