ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Nine persons who invested some PHP2-million to a “double your money” investment scheme are poised to file charges against the owner who allegedly carted away their money.
The investors who asked not to be named went to the Roxas City police station on Tuesday and reported that Aljean Padua, 30, owner of Alcoins Digital Marketing Scheme and a resident of Caloocan City is nowhere to be found after receiving their money.
The complainants claimed that they invested their money after Padua promised that their money will double within a week.
Padua has since left Sitio Uno condominium hotel at Brgy. Lawaan here where she stayed late last week.
She also did not return to the Alcoins office located at the Capiz government and business center.
The investors tried to contact her but to no avail.
Meanwhile, the five on-the-job (OJT) employees of Padua were held at the Roxas City police station upon request of the investors.
The investors wanted Padua to show up and return their money in exchange for the release of the 5 employees.
