We also conducted a similar activity in Lanipe with 66 recipients on June 28,” said Nelida B. Losare, Provincial Statistical Officer of PSA-Guimaras.
“The Municipal Civil Registrars (MCRs), PSA and the local Officials of Guimaras province will not stop in their campaign until the goal of having zero unregistered vital events in the province is achieved. In fact 13 marangays more were lined up for mobile civil registration in the municipality of Jordan,” Losare added.
Through the mobile civil registration, every Guimarasnon whose vital events were unregistered will be given assistance by the PSA and MCRs.
For persons with errors in their vital events records, they will be guided on how to correct the errors.
She also encouraged Guimaras residents to take advantage of the chance given by their local officials to process and be registered for free.
“We need cooperation and unity of every local government units in Guimaras to foster the awareness of Guimarasnons about the importance of having a registered birth certificate,” Losare said.
