Land for the landless Antiqueños

Apolonia Trabucan, 95, of Barangay Baluangan I, Valderrama town receives her land title during the Launching of Central Antique Convergence Area.

Nineteen free patents for agricultural lots were successfully distributed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-CENRO) in Belison, Antique in connection with the Handog Titulo Program of DENR-Western Visayas.

The distribution was part of the Launching of the Central Antique Convergence Area held at the covered gym of Valderrama, Antique on Nov 08, 2019.

Leading the distribution of the land patents were Antique lone district Rep. Loren B. Legarda, Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao, DENR-6 Regional Executive Director Francisco E. Milla Jr., DENR Assistant Regional Directors Livino B. Duran for Technical Services and Jesse L. Vego for Management, Services and Antique PENR Officer Andres T. Untal.

Happy and proud Antiquenos show their much awaited land titles.

More or less 21.3985 hectares (213,985 square meters) of agricultural land in Valderrama were distributed to the beneficiaries.

Seven beneficiaries are from Barangay Tigmamale, five from Buluangan I, four from Bunsod, and one each from Buganayan, Cansilayan and Pandanan.

Director Milla Jr. said Titulo Program is a sustained effort of the department that delivers full ownership of land titles to the rightful beneficiaries. (DENR-6)
