Jon “Bones” Jones recorded his second drunk-driving offense in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has pleaded guilty.
The current UFC light heavyweight champion was found at 1 AM in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle with a half-empty bottle of liquor and a handgun.
After this, the court slapped the 32-year-old champion with one year of supervised probation under the plea agreement.
Part of Jones’ penalties is to complete a minimum of 90 days of out-patient treatment, performing community service and pay fines and fees.
Last 2015, Jones also pleaded guilty after being involved in a hit-and-run that injured a pregnant woman wherein Jones ended up serving an 18-month supervised probation.
“I accept full responsibility for my actions and I know that I have some personal work to do which involves the unhealthy relationship I have with alcohol,” Jones said.
Jones is currently tagged as the best pound-for-pound MMA fighter with an insane record of 26-1 including 13 UFC title fight victories.
