The Police Regional Office 6 conferred certificates of completion to 314 patrolmen and women who officially graduated from Basic Internal Security Operations (BISOC), a 60-day rigid training on counter insurgency, held in Sara Iloilo on Oct 20, 2020.
According to Police Brigadier General Rene P Pamuspusan, the BISOC is a mandatory training to all police personnel.
The training is designed to prepare every police officer on the basic mindset and instinct, indoctrination, discipline and character, individual and unit knowledge which they will apply in combat operations against insurgents.
Pamuspusan said the training equipped the new breed of cops with the right knowledge, attitude, skills, and values that will make them more capable and qualified to be assigned in the mobile forces of the PNP whose primary function is to confront problems on internal security.
These 314 personnel will now be returned to PRO6 Regional Personnel and Holding Unit 6 while waiting for their deployment to the regional and provincial mobile force companies.
“The skills that you acquired during the training shall be put into good use in furthering not only our campaign against illegal drugs and insurgency but also in our efforts in ending local communist armed conflict by strengthening our connection with the community,” Pamuspusan said.
Also in attendance during the Closing Ceremony is the Officer in Charge of the Regional Special Training Unit 6, Police Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Roy M Subsuban.
Health protocols and IATF guidelines were properly observed during the ceremony.
