Two years since its conceptualization, Bob Arum finally revealed details on the welterweight super fight.
“Somebody is willing to spend big money to get the Crawford-Pacquiao fight and the site fee, that then distorts everything,” Arum said during the Barbershop Conversations podcast.
Arum further explained that an investor is willing to cover the huge site fee including Manny Pacquiao’s $40 million plus Terence Crawford’s additional $10 million.
Since last year, Crawford has expressed how badly he wanted to fight Pacquiao for welterweight supremacy even before the Keith Thurman fight.
The American superstar felt like Pacquiao was ducking him ever since and is afraid of his strength and power.
On the other hand, Pacquiao can be found still dominating the sport despite his age as shown in the Thurman fight.
Is Arum sure this time? Will he make the bout happen?
