BACOLOD City – Police are probing the alleged abduction of a sports game agent in Barangay 40 here yesterday.
The victim was identified as Ricky Vonn Apuhin, 34, of Barangay Singcang-Airport here.
Police Major Leo Estopa, head of Police Station 6, said Apuhin and his friend were about to board the former’s black Hyundai Accent sedan when four unidentified persons on board a maroon Toyota Innova approached them.
Estopa said that three of the four perpetrators then escorted Apuhin to his vehicle while the other perpetrator drove the Innova. Apuhin’s companion was left unharmed.
Estopa said they have no lead yet on the identities of the perpetrators, as well as the motive.
Estopa said they will check other closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footages in nearby areas to help them in the investigation.
“Ang biktima abi daw siya ni ang gapang collect bala kung may mag pustahanay like sa basketball,” the station commander said.
Estopa said they will also check the background of the victim.
This is the most recent alleged abduction incident after the one that occurred last April.
