BACOLOD City – Police will be coordinating with the Municipal Health Office (MHO) to locate or identify the parents of a newborn baby boy who was found dead along the shoreline of Purok Masinulondon, Barangay Tabao Proper, Valladolid, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.
This is the fourth incident this month that a body of an infant was found in the province.
According to Police Captain Bonifacio Galvez Jr., town police chief, a group of children who were playing discovered the lifeless infant.
Galvez said the baby was already bloated and had no upper extremities.
“Basi na anod lang siya sa lugar,” he added.
Galvez said there were no witnesses in the incident. Thus, they will ask the help of the MHO to check the list of pregnant women in the barangay so that they would know if the baby’s parents are from the said area.
The two previous incidents were reported in the cities of Kabankalan and Silay where lifeless babies were dumped.
In the case of a newborn baby boy found in Sagay City, the baby is healthy and is now under the custody of the authorities.
