BACOLOD City – A biker died after he was hit by a motorcycle and run over by a pick-up truck in Barangay Taloc, Bago City, Negros Occidental yesterday.

Police have yet to identify the male victim as of this writing.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, city police chief, said the biker was about to make a turn when he was hit by an alleged speeding motorcycle around 1 a.m.

Malong said the biker and motorcycle rider Ariel Remegio Jr., of Barangay Sampinit, were thrown off their vehicles.

An alleged speeding white pick-up truck that was tailing the motorcycle then reportedly ran over the biker, according to Malong.

Malong said the pick-up truck, however, did not stop, as the driver probably failed to notice the victim.

Malong said that Remegio was wounded and is still confined in a private hospital here, while the biker was declared dead in a hospital.

She said they have yet to determine the car plate of the pick-up truck despite a copy of a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage.

She added that the CCTV footage was not clear enough for them to see the car plate.
