ROXAS CITY, City – Around P200,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs were recovered by police in separate drug buy-bust operations on Aug 10, here and in the towns of Tapaz and Pontevedra.
About P170,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized from Vicente Fuentes, 50, in a lodging house in Barangay Baybay, Roxas City, while another P20,400 worth of illegal drugs were recovered from Ronald Gapi, 40, of Barangay Candelaria in Tapaz.
Dante Orale, 27, of Pontevedra town yielded P13,600 worth of the same drugs.
Fuentes of Barangay Cabangahan, Panitan Capiz was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Roxas City.
Recovered from the suspect were 7 sachets of illegal drugs, P1,500 marked money, a cellphone, and several drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, the police recovered from Orale of Barangay Bailan Pontevedra 5 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.
The operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Pontevedra PNP.
He is in the custody of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station.
On the other hand, Gapi of Barangay San Julian was arrested in Barangay Candelaria, Tapaz, Capiz by Tapaz police.
Recovered from the suspect were 7 sachets of suspected shabu, P5,500 marked money, a pouch, and a cellphone.
About 7 grams of illegal drugs were recovered from Gapi who is presently in the custody of Tapaz Municipal Police Station.
Charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the 3 suspects.
