BACOLOD City – Following a series of huge drug recoveries here, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported another accomplishment after it confiscated 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P410,000 in a buy-bust operation at Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay 12 here last Friday.
Police identified the suspect as Mark Jayvee Diarota, 31, of the said village.
Police Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, head of Police Station 2, said they’ve been monitoring the suspect for a few weeks after learning that he was allegedly distributing illegal drugs in the said village.
Also recovered from the suspect was P11,000 boodle money and marked money.
Diarota is a high value individual, according to Pendon.
In a statement, Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, said that policemen will continue to address the problem of illegal drugs in Western Visayas.
“Patuloy pong kumikilos ang kapulisan laban sa iligal na droga,” Villaflor said, as he lauded the operating units for the said operation.
Diarota’s arrest came after 115 grams of suspected shabu worth P14,382,000 were seized from an alleged drug group member in a drug bust in Barangay Vista Alegre here on August 10.
Prior to that, the BCPO also seized 22 grams of suspected shabu worth P149,600 from a young woman in Barangay Vista Alegre on August 8.
