The Akari Chargers continued their winning ways in the ongoing Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference after completing the come-from-behind effort over the Farm Fresh Foxies, 21-25, 26-24, 25-15, 25-21, last October 26, 2023, held in Ynares Center.

After a sloppy performance in the opening set, the Chargers quickly flipped the switch in the remaining three sets and mounted a reverse sweep to topple the young Farm Fresh team.

For the second straight time, it was the veteran outside hitter Dindin Santiago-Manabat who top-scored for Akari, finishing with 22 points built from 19 successful attacks.

Manabat’s consecutive scoring mini-runs sparked the Chargers midway through the second set and set the tone for their consistent outing for the rest of the game.

However, it was Fifi Sharma who stole the show as her two-way efficient performance bolstered Akari’s dominant outing in the last two sets.

Known to be a relentless middle blocker since her DLSU days, the young ace delivered for the Chargers and showed shades of her performance against the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.

Sharma wrapped up her exceptional performance with 13 points while Faith Nisperos provided 15 markers including six excellent receptions.

On the other hand, Farm Fresh has yet to clinch their first-ever win in the PVL since joining the league last conference.

The Foxies finished the previous conference with a winless 0-5 campaign and are now facing the danger of absorbing its 10th straight loss if they still fail to nab a win in their next game.

Farm Fresh will take on the strong Creamline Cool Smashers on Tuesday next week and will have to be on the same page if they want to break their losing spell.
