BACOLOD City – A Grade 12 student was wounded after he was stabbed and robbed by an unidentified person at Sitio Mambato Proper, Barangay To-oy, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental last Thursday.
Police withheld the name of the 18-year-old victim.
Based on police investigation, the victim was sitting at the roadside while playing games on his cellular phone when the suspect approached and asked for directions.
The suspect then left but later returned, and suddenly hit the victim’s head with a bottle of beer. He allegedly took the victim’s cellular phone, but the latter resisted and grappled with him.
The suspect then drew a knife from his waist and allegedly stabbed the victim twice and fled along with the victim’s phone.
The victim suffered stab wounds in his back and body. He was referred to a hospital here.
