BACOLOD CITY – La Castellana’s candidate in the Lin-ay sang Negros 2025 pageant was voted Muse of Media, besting 26 other candidates in one of the highlights of the Panaad sa Negros Festival 2025.
Lin-ay sang La Castellana Chermaine Faith Semillano was awarded the Muse of Media title during the Lin-ay sang Negros Press Presentation held Saturday morning, March 22, at SM City Bacolod.
Semillano received the majority vote from attending members of the media and vloggers.
The award was presented by Negros Bloggers President Eduardo Joven, Panaad sa Negros Festival 2025 Executive Director Charina Magallanes-Tan, Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas Negros Occidental Chapter Chairman Jeony Bigay, and Negros Press Club President Mark Salanga.
Semillano also won three out of 10 corporate awards during the pageant’s Corporate Q&A and Talent Presentation held Sunday.
She was named Miss FalCor Marketing, Miss EGY and Miss GCash.
Other corporate awardees include Miss L’Fisher – Lin-ay sang Isabela Lyrain Dela Torre; Miss Solana, Miss La Jefa and Miss Saludad – all awarded to Lin-ay sang Manapla Julianah Cassandra Makilan; Miss Emerald Thai – Lin-ay sang Hinigaran Susmita Angelique Ramos; and Miss Metro Inn and Miss Vasoh-K Skincare – Lin-ay sang Binalbagan Jewel Maxine Vasquez.
Pageant night will be held March 28 at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Panaad sa Negros Festival, dubbed the “mother of all festivals” in the province, officially opened its 2025 edition Monday, March 24.
Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson led the thanksgiving and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the Food Security and Technology Showcase, Organic Village, Food Alley, Livestock and Dairy Fair Exhibit, the Panaad Art Fair, Panaad Stamp and Snap, and PGNO Trade Fair.
All themed pavilions of the 31 participating localities were also officially opened.
