Fresh off her triumphant homecoming, Miss Eco International 2025 Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks is set to begin her reign by focusing on health, empowerment and environmental projects in the Philippines.

Brooks, the third Filipina to win the Miss Eco International title, made history in Egypt last month.

She announced that her advocacy work will begin in her home country.

“Right now, we are focusing on the Philippines. This is where I’m going to do most of my advocacies,” she said at a May 5 press conference.

She shared that Dr. Amal Rezk, founder of Miss Eco International, is expected to visit the country later this month to meet with her and finalize plans for advocacy tours and partnerships.

Brooks, representing Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, said promoting health and wellness is central to her platform.

“As an athlete, it is important for me to be an advocate of good health and wellness,” she said.

“It’s something I’ve been doing, and I would love to go further with the help of our local government units,” she added.

She said self-care is vital to environmental action, stating, “It’s not just about health; it’s also about empowering people. In order to take care of our environment, we must first take care of ourselves.”

While the Miss Eco International pageant is best known for its environmental focus, Brooks highlighted the organization’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

She cited SDG 17, which promotes partnerships for achieving development goals.

Beyond her health advocacy, the Ilongga beauty queen plans to continue promoting her personal campaign, Abanse Babaye!, which centers on women’s empowerment.

Amid growing fan interest, Brooks clarified that she has no immediate plans to join Miss Universe Philippines.

“I feel like I need to focus on my Miss Eco International duties first,” she said.

“Maybe someday, before I end my pageant career, I’d join another big one—but not anytime soon,” she added.

She expressed gratitude for the warm support from fellow Ilonggos and Filipinos.

“I’m just happy that I was able to bring this honor not just for myself, but for Iloilo, for the Philippines, and for my Lola,” she said.

In the coming months, Brooks is expected to travel to other countries to promote environmental awareness and sustainable tourism as part of her Miss Eco International duties.
