A FABULOUS GALA NIGHT!

Internationally renowned portrait photographer Rupert Jacinto unveiled the 11th edition of his Coffee Table Book dubbed “FAABVLOUS”  an iconic term from the Washington Post for having done the portraits of international celebrities, businessmen and politicians like Ivana Trump and others, dahlings!

This time, three high and mighty Ilonggos were chosen for Jacinto’s featured personalities in this much awaited edition.

Leading the featured Ilonggo personalities was Dr. Rollin Palermo Tabuena, a successful fellow of the Philippine College of Physicians and an internist, a pulmonologist and international bronchoscopy specialist.

Doc Rollin, as he is fondly called, is an alumnus of the West Visayas State University (WVSU) College of Medicine (1994) He was awarded as one of the most outstanding young scientists of 2006 by the Department of Science  and Technology (DOST) and was conferred by his alma mater with the “Most Outstanding Century Alumni Award” in the field of science and technology in 2008.

Fast forward to June 2023, Asia’s Modern Hero  Awards named him as “Renowned Medical Internist and Pulmonary Specialist of the year.”

Also featured in the coffee table book is Dr. Rollin Tabuena’s better half, Dr. Ma. Daisy Pedroso-Tabuena, an internist, neurologist and electromyographer. She has the distinction of being the first neurologist who specializes in Electromyography and Dystonia in the Western Visayas. She is likewise a University scholar of West Visayas State University (WVSU) where she graduated in 1991. Recognizing her exemplary contributions in the medical fields, she was awarded the “Most Outstanding Alumni in field of medicine and health Sciences by University of San Agustin Alumni Association in 2004. The Latest award bestowed on her was 2023 Asia’s Modern  Hero Award as “Heroes’ Medical Internist and neurology Specialist.

Likewise featured was another brilliant Ilongga, Virma Yasa-Apostol, an international financial analyst/ offshore Bank Account Officer of the Bank of America.

Ms. Apostol, an advocate member of Zonta Club of Iloilo City, was awarded  this year as Asia’s Pinnacle Asia Awardee and Most Trusted and Renowned business leader in Banking Sector at Okada Manila. Likewise, She was also awarded as America Excellence Awards Hollywood, California’s Most Outstanding Offshore Bank Account Officer of the decade.

They were Honored along with other outstanding Jacinto featured honorees with a larger than life self-portraits exhibit at the sprawling lobby of the plush Marriott Hotel Manila and a black tie gala dinner fashion show of the honorees at Marriott’s Grand Ballroom.

Rupert Jacinto’s successful event had the support of Dean Decker  for the advocacy of the Hydrocephalus Foundation of the Philippines and in a support of the Ina ng Laging Saklolo Chapel of San Antonio Village in Nueva Ecija.
