Alex Pereira’s dominant reign in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) continues after knocking out Jiri Prochazka in the first round of their light heavyweight championship bout on June 30, 2024, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With the win, Pereira made another successful title defense of his light heavyweight championship belt and has swept his head-to-head series with Prochazka.

Pereira only needed 13 seconds to dispose Prochazka in the opening round of their highly-anticipated title rematch.

Seconds after the official match bell rang, Pereira quickly caught Prochazka with a solid left-leg kick that connected to his head.

Upon the initial impact, Prochazka already gone down the canvas but was still in conscious state after attempting to shield himself from an upcoming barrage of ground and pound beating.

However, Pereira was quick to send in a flurry of hammer fists which was enough to force the official match referee to stop the fight.

During their first encounter, Pereira also finished Prochazka to defend his title but banked on his 1-2 punch combination that set up the TKO victory.

After landing a vicious left counter uppercut, Pereira got the job done by punishing Prochazka with a series of elbows in the final minute of the second round.

Pereira just improved to an impressive professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) record of 11 wins, nine knockouts, and two losses.

After his defeat to Israel Adesanya, Pereira has been on a roll and is yet to drop a single match, extending his UFC winning streak to four straight matches from July 2023 to June 30, 2024.
