Anti-drug ops continue amid community quarantine

BACOLOD City – Local policemen continue to run after suspected drug peddlers here and in Negros Occidental amid the community quarantine.

Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) conducted a buy-bust operation at Barangay Singcang Airport here yesterday, which led to the arrest of Leo Ledesma, 25, of the said village; Peter Locsin, 39, of Talisay City; Mark Ybañez, 39, of Bacolod City; and Martina Cordova, 21, of Barangay Villamonte here, a report from the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) indicated.

Police confiscated from the four suspects the P500 marked money, five grams of suspected shabu worth P46,000, and drug paraphernalia.

In Silay City, Leah Joy Casipe, 31, of Barangay Lantad, and Jesusa Manalaysay, 27, of Barangay Mambulac were also arrested in a drug bust at Barangay 1 last Monday.

Police recovered from the duo eight grams of suspected shabu worth P120,000, P250 cash, P3,000 boodle or fake money, and the P500 marked money.

Also arrested that day at Barangay Camingawan, Kabankalan City was Richard Tulbo, 40, of Barangay Oringao for allegedly possessing 11 sachets of suspected shabu worth P12,000, cigarettes, lighter, the P100 marked money, and P1,069 cash.
