BACOLOD City – Troopers of the 94th Infantry Battalion (IB) clashed with suspected New People’s Army (NPA) at Barangay Buenavista, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental last Friday.

The fire fight occurred when the soldiers encountered around 10 unidentified armed men while conducting community security patrol in the area around 12:40 p.m.

No casualties were reported on the government side, but there were reported casualties on the enemy side based on the bloodstains found in their route, a press release from the 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde) said.
