BACOLOD City – The Army’s 3rd Infantry Division (ID) donated P578,005 in financial assistance to families affected by Typhoon Ulysses in November 2020.

Master Sergeant Reynante Asinas of the 3rd Division Administrative Coordinating Center recently turned over a check to Brigadier General Marceliano Teofilo, commander of the Joint Task Force National Capital Region (NCR) Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The amount was part of their subsistence allowance allotted to affected areas of central and southern portions of Aurora, Northern, and Southern Quezon, Western part of Camarines Norte, and NCR.

Major General Eric Vinoya, 3ID commander, commended the troopers for their kindness and continued concern to our fellow countrymen who were affected by the devastation caused by Typhoon Ulysses. “I hope you do not tire of helping those in need because it is part of our sworn duty,” he said.

“In this season of Christmas may we always be reminded of the true essence of it, by extending a helping hand and a kind heart to those who are in need,” Vinoya said.

May the spirit of Christmas bring us joy, and its gladness will give us hope, and the warmth of Christmas gives us love, he added.
