Baby girl contracts COVID-19 in Roxas City

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – An 11-month-old baby and seven other individuals tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Roxas City.

In an official statement on Saturday, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas said the female baby is a resident of Costa Verde in Brgy. Cagay.

Apart from the baby, three of the new cases are also from Costa Verde.

The rest of the new cases are:

Case # 487: 32-year-old female bank employee on Roxas Avenue and resident of Tanza Gua;

Case # 488: 68-year-old male of Sitio San Vicente, Brgy. Lonoy;

Case # 489: 66-year-old female and resident of Real St., Brgy.1; and

Case # 490: 50-year-old female from Arnaldo Boulevard, Brgy. Baybay.

Meanwhile, two individuals who have recovered from the disease were:

Case # 402: 59-year-old female from Brgy. Baybay; and

Case # 403: 28-year-old female from Brgy. Lawaan, a locally stranded individual (LSI).

At present, Roxas City has 57 active cases, 403 recoveries, 30 deaths, with 490 total confirmed cases.
